Our friends at Anhad, Inc. asked us to help at the press conference for the upcoming A.R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour. The concert kicks off on June 11th at Nassau Coliseum in New York. This exclusive press conference was held on April 19, 2010 at the K lounge in Manhattan. As soon as we entered K lounge, it didn’t take long to get into the musical mood. A. R. Rahman music playing, one song better than the next. A screen with the concert info. A place grand enough for A.R. himself. And, of course, delicious food from Bombay Palace. Lots of nice little touches, if we do say so ourselves.

A.R. Rahman is a giant talent in the music industry. But, in meeting and seeing him, you would never think that this humble, down-to-earth person was the famous talent that he is. We here at event nirvana have seen much starriness from people not of his caliber. It is refreshing to see someone who is so hot right now take his fame with such humbleness. Bravo, A.R. or shall we say Jai Ho A.R.!

Music lovers, do yourself a favor-attend the concert. Everyone needs a break from the day-to-day grind, and could use an evening out. Live concerts, especially ones with amazing music and dance, are a way to be totally immersed in a different world and to be spiritually uplifted. Do something different and exciting- attend the event rather than just downloading it later. You will be happy for the experience.
